THIS SEMI- ANNUAL WEED WRANGLE IS A COMMUNITY ENCOURAGED VOLUNTEER AND EDUCATION EVENT TO LEARN, REMOVE AND EXPERIENCE FIRST HAND INVASIVE SPECIES PLANT IDENTIFICATION AND THE BEST REMOVAL TECHNIQUES. HOSTED BY UCSWCD AND LED BY LIZ YETTER, OUR INVASIVE SPECIES FIELD REPRESENTATIVE. IT'S ALSO A GREAT TIME TO GAIN IDEAS AND ADVICE FROM OUR EXPERT ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS YOU MAY BE HAVING WITH INVASIVES PLANT SPECIES AROUND YOUR OWN HOME OR LAND. 

TIRE COLLECTION DAY PARTNERED WITH WAYNE COUNTY SWCD

ON OCTOBER 23, 2021 WE PARTNERED WITH WAYNE COUNTY SWCD TO HOST A FREE TIRE COLLECTION DAY
AT 7 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT BOTH COUNTIES. 
- 932 USED TIRES WERE COLLECTED AND RECYCLED AT THE WUR SWMD
-TOTALING 12.09 TONS
-232 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED FROM BOTH COUNTIES
 
WE HOPE TO CONTINUE THIS EVENT AGAIN IN THE FALL OF 2022.
